Take the Best Practice Marine User Survey (by Feb 28) : 10-15mins only - 11-February-2010The Northern Rivers Catchment Management Authority (NRCMA) wants to support sustainable use of the marine environment in the Northern Rivers region, including coastal waters out to three nautical miles from the NSW/Queensland border to south of Port Macquarie, and including the Lord Howe Island group. The NRCMA has engaged TierraMar Consulting to assist them to gain a better understanding of how users currently manage their impact on estuarine and marine environments and what the NRCMA can do to support these efforts. This project follows on from the work undertaken by the Department of Primary Industries in 2008/09. read article |

AIMA Shipwreck Photography Competition - 1 December 2009 - 31 March 2010The Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology (AIMA) has just launched its inaugural Shipwreck Photography Competition. It will run from 1 Dec 2009 to 31 March 2010. There are some great prizes, and entry categories are Shipwreck & Nature; Shipwreck Underwater & Divers; and Shipwreck above water.
